This project introduces a custom-designed, 3D printed pharmaceutical vial specifically tailored for IOL storage and transport. The design emphasizes precision, modularity, and practicality, making it ideal for use in clinical and surgical environments.

The vial consists of three primary components, each serving a specific purpose:
Body
The main body serves as the central housing unit for the intraocular lens and its holder. It is the structural foundation of the vial system and plays a critical role in both protection and usability.
Sealing Lid
The cup serves as the upper closure of the vial and plays a critical dual role: ensuring a sterile seal and providing mechanical protection for the IOL during storage and transit. It may also contribute to stabilizing the IOL holder inside the vial.
IOL Holder
The IOL holder is the most delicate component, designed to secure the intraocular lens in a stable and safe position without applying pressure to the optical zones.
Together, these three parts form a modular, easy-to-manufacture system that supports efficient production, reliable sterilization, and safe, intuitive use in ophthalmic procedures. Designed to comply with ISO standards and compatible with common sterilization methods, the system ensures regulatory readiness and clinical reliability. As a complete unit, it securely houses the IOL, maintains sterility, and protects the lens from damage or contamination—delivering a practical, ready-to-use solution from production to surgery.
